Paul shares a diverse athletic background with his clients and athletes. Growing up swimming and surfing in Southern California is what paved the way for Paul’s future as an athlete and coach. Excelling in sports from youth through high school, Paul played basketball and ran track and field, competing in the 400-meter, 4 x 400-meter relay, and high jump. Nearly walking-on to play college basketball at age 19, his passion suddenly switched to skiing, prompting him to move to Big Sky Montana at age 21. In short time Paul developed his skiing and quickly jumped into an adrenaline pumped career, where he spent 12 years on the National and World freeride skiing circuits. Following his retirement from skiing in 2011, Paul found the sport of triathlon, and shortly thereafter, Paul qualified for the 2015 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Zell Am See-Kaprun, Austria.
Finally, in late 2016, his ultimate calling became a reality with EpicBZN. To Paul, Epic is a fitness facility, but also a community that embraces individuals who enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle. His passion is easily seen watching him guide individuals toward their fitness and athletic goals. Paul specializes in triathlon coaching as well as corrective exercise and functional movements. Paul is a gifted swim coach and enjoys working with all ability levels. He loves helping swimmers manage their first strokes in the pool or finessing a developed stroke to gain that extra advantage. Progressing and building athletes is Paul’s strong suit, whether it’s your first day in the gym or going from the pool to the open water.
